Update 03/2007
After only having this installed for a few days.. The extended Bolt snapped off ;( The welds appear to have rusted a bit and just releasing the bolt was enough force to snap the handle off. Bad build, bad quality. Avoid this add-on. I chose to add the GWS AK SOPMOD Bolt and Selector because I want to build a Blackheart Int'l Style AK SOPMOD. I'm waiting for a few more parts to complete the build,but it's well underway.
The GWS AK SOPMOD Bolt and Selector is a nice simple all metal kit. The custom selector switch will hold the bolt open and cosmetically it serves it's purpose. Unfortunately you do need to remove the stock TM plastic battery tray on the AK for installation. The only problem with that is the mechbox and some innards are visible after installation |
